A workshop for Catholic school leaders in the
Port Pirie Diocese was held at Caritas College,
Port Augusta, in April.
Queensland Education Leadership Institute
joined with Catholic Education SA to create and
deliver a customised Strengthening a Team of
Leaders program. Current and aspiring leaders
from Catholic schools in Pt Lincoln, Whyalla, Pt
Pirie and Roxby Downs are participating in the

David Shinnick is the recipient of the inaugural
David Shinnick Award for Excellence in Pastoral
The award, which recognises an outstanding
contribution and distinguished service to pastoral
planning in Australia, was presented at the recent
National Pastoral Planners Network (NPNN)
Conference in Adelaide.
Mr Shinnick was unable to accept the award in
person due to ill health and it was accepted on
his behalf by former colleague Mr Michael Brady.
