An initiative of not-for-profit community organisation, Children's Charity Network, the Australian Children's Literary Board aims to promote and recognise literary excellence via this national competition open to young writers from Years 3 to 12. From approximately 20,000 entries, James won the competition with his story "As I Stumble on Trembling Legs" which tells the tale of a day working in the frenetic pace of a fast food restaurant. Tinged with humour, James builds dramatic tension in this story based on his own experiences in this industry. Visit the school's website at web.bps.sa.edu.au to read James' winning short story in full. 2011 ADVOCACY CONFERENCE FRIDAY 4 FEBRUARY | ADELAIDE, SA With special guest speaker Justice Antonin Scalia, Supreme Court of the United States For more information and to register, visit: www.adelaide.edu.au/justice-scalia-2011 or call 08 8303 3692 Nazareth Catholic Community is a place of welcome connecting faith, family and education www.nazareth.org.au T: 8406 5000 Primary Campus 176 Crittenden Road, Findon Wed 16 March 9-11am Early Childhood Centre Almond Ave, Findon Sat 19 March 9:30 - 11:30am Secondary Campus 1 Hartley Road, Flinders Park Wed 23 March 4-7pm Open Days 2011 GRADUATES: Sam Wesson and Chloe Armfield, 2010 College Captain, at the OLSH Graduation Ceremony late last year.
