October 2012 Page 21 www.thesoutherncross.org.au The Southern Cross schools | Nine young women from Nazareth Catholic Community took part in the first Young Adults' Retreat -- an opportunity to discuss faith and major influences on ways of practising and nurturing that faith. Youth Minister Cassie Schumacher said the conversation included finding in other people a common belief or Godly influence in daily life. Photos: John Hemmings Cabra Dominican College Drum Corps Walk a Mile in my school Our Lady Queen of Peace students took part in a walking event to raise money for the Hutt Street Centre for the homeless. A pancake breakfast was provided after the walk as children were asked not to eat breakfast that morning. This was to help them to understand what it would be like to have to start the day without anything in their stomach. Tyson Gulyard, Isaac Navacchi, Michael Hayes and Nova Boy Natalie Scopacasa, Brianna Arnoldus and Paige York SAC at Flinders St Aloysius College Year 9 camp was held at at Wilpena Pound Flinders Ranges. Fr Matthew gave a short Mass on St Mary's Peak. The group of 58 girls walked a total of 23kms that day.
