WINNING RECIPE: Our Lady Queen of Peace School, Albert Park, has taken out first prize in the primary school section of the Botanic Gardens Great Tomato Sauce Challenge 2013. Teacher Jeanette Brodie said the challenge was a great opportunity for the school, which has its own kitchen garden and many children who have an interest and enthusiasm for cooking. Four year 4/5 students, Ariana, Brogan, Milla and Kara (pictured) cooked and bottled the tomato sauce under the supervision of Education Support Officer Maria Fabjancic who supplied an old family recipe. Judging of 132 entries took place on Sunday February 24 at the Botanic Gardens.
